Dorothy E. Amster Keicher, 82, of Knob Road, died Friday at Life Care Center of Greeneville.

She was a homemaker and mother, the widow of Andrew Blaine Keicher.

Mrs. Keicher was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.

Survivors include five children and their spouses: Earl and Mary Ann Keicher of Annapolis, Md., Brenda and Jim Mooneyhan of Gray, Cheryl and Mike Stroud of Mohawk, Bruce Keicher of Talbott, and Joe and Tia Keicher of Glendale, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law and "adopted" son: LeAnne and Phil Thwing of Greeneville; her grandchildren: Cara Keicher, Anna Keicher, Evan Keicher, Michelle Jordan and her husband, Derek, Matthew Stroud and his wife, Tavia, Leah Keicher Thwing, Jake Keicher Thwing, Gavin Keicher and MacKenzie Keicher; two great-grandchildren: Levi Jordan and Laci Jordan; one brother: Joe Amster; two special members of the Amster family: Holly Guffy and Deborah Wells; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Bill Wheeles of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jack and Kathy Keicher and Evelyn Keicher, all of Midway; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Brian Keicher, three sisters, and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Reformation Lutheran Church. Pastor Rick Ohsiek and Dave Parr will officiate.

Interment will follow in Sinking Springs Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.

Pallbearers will be Earl Keicher, Bruce Keicher, Joe Keicher, Jim Mooneyhan, Mike Stroud, Matthew Stroud, Jake Keicher Thwing, Phil Thwing, Derek Jordan, Evan Keicher, and Bob Wells.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of her Sunday school class at Reformation Lutheran Church, her caregivers at Life Care Center of Greeneville, her neighbors on Knob Road, and Lucille Renner.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reformation Lutheran Church Seminary Scholarship Fund or to The Brian A. Keicher Memorial Scholarship Fund at Greeneville High School.
