She was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky, the daughter of Francis Marion Howard and Percilla "Cilla" Howard and the granddaughter of Henry Howard and Elizabeth Cottle. She was married to William "Bill" Montgomery the son of Marion Montgomery and Lorinda (Risner) Montgomery and the grandson of John J. Montgomery and Letty Howard. Mint and Bill have four sons Lunda, Dorsey, Patrick and Prather Montgomery. Four daughters, my grandmother Mary Ann (Montgomery) Wilson, Hannah (Montgomery) Tackett, Wannie (Montgomery) Howard and Tealie (Montgomery) Tackett. Mint had 54 grandchildren,88 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren at the time of her death.
