Joseph M. Farmer, Dead
Joseph M. Farmer died last Tuesday morning at his home near Standing Rock after a lingering illness with kidney trouble. He was born September 15, 1845 in Cole County, Missouri. He came to Camden County with his parents when but a small lad and has resided near Linn Creek since early pioneer days. He has been a member of the Christian Church about 30 years. Mrs. Farmer survives him; also John A. Farmer, adopted son and five others; Asa, Tom, Eliza, Herman and Emil and a daughter Miss Ella Farmer. Deceased was a man of sturdy character and hold in deepest affection by his family. Funeral services at the home Weds. morning and conducted by Rev. Edmunt Walker. Internment at the Farmer Cemetery near his home.
