Funeral services for Mamie Engle, 84, were held December 26 at the Dixon Memorial Church. Burial was in the Smith Cemetery at Jeremiah.
A daughter of the late Dan and Virgie Smith Adams, she died December 22 at her home. She was the widow of John Engle, and a sister of the late James Gid Adams, Blaine Adams, Margaret Caudill, and Mary Denny.
Surviving are a son, Harrison Engle, Virginia; three daughters, Wilma Jean Smith, Ohio; Bobbie L. Morgan, Michigan; and Monica L. Ivey, Jenkins; two brothers, Dock Adams, Jeremiah, and Ivan Adams, Isom; two sisters, Juanita McCary, Somerset, and Coreen Pridemore, Jeremiah; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
