Brenda Lou Watson, 63, of Etowah, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Charity Creola Moses Smith. She attended The Church on the Rock in Etowah, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, William and Frank Smith. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa and Michael Moore of Etowah, and Shellie Webb of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Lisa Dodson of Athens; grandchildren and spouses, Amanda and Brian Johnson, Corey and Felicia Winder, Michael Webb and Hannah Moore; great-grandchildren, Aubreigh Winder, Jadien Guffey and Allie Johnson; one sister and brother-in-law, Janella and Harold Trew of Illinois; and a special friend, Jennifer Daugherty. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Leon Divine officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Eleazar Cemetery
