Martha Gwynn McClain Dunlap, 72, a retired teacher, died of heart failure, Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Forest Hill Nursing Center in Jackson.
Visitation is Sunday, June 6, 2010, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona. Funeral services are 3:00 pm Sunday, June 6, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with burial in the Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael. Oliver Funeral Home, Inc. in Winona is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Dunlap was a standing member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a member of the Community Children's Theater of Jackson, and Galloway Drama.
In her later years, she tutored children in the Jackson area. She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include her daughter, Martha Lyn Dunlap of Jackson; and son, Lee Dunlap of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Presley Lee Dunlap; and her parents, Sam McClain and Alma Crowder McClain.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Galloway United Methodist Church in Jackson.
