Eleanor M. Diffenbaucher, 82, 45 S. Potomac St., died Tuesday morning at the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born in Greensburg, Md., she was the daughter of George M. and Mary Ann Snyder Diffenbaucher. She was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. For several years she was employed by Welty Cleaners, retiring in 1960. She was a life member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by two sons, George I. Diffenbaucher, Sr. of Waynesboro and Jacob S. Adams of St. Augustine, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Georgeanna D. Chemplain of Waynesboro; four brothers, M. Lloyd Diffenbaucher, Sr. of Rt. 3. Greencastle, Arthur H. Diffenbaucher and Sherman A. Diffenbaucher both of Waynesboro and John H. Diffenbaucher of State Road Hill, Waynesboro, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Snyder Funeral Home at South Church and Second Streets. Pastor Charlos W. Rider and Pastor Paul Curfman will officiate.Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service Thursday. The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
