Born Elsie Marie Schnieder in New Orleans, the daughter of Nicholaus Schneider and Ida Schmidt. She moved to Los Angeles, California with her family around 1915. She married Wilbur Vernon Adams around 1927, and the pair had one child, Joan Marie Adams. Later, Elsie and Wilbur divorced and she changed her name to Elsie Marie Lynn. Her death date and burial location are currently unknown.
