Son of Andrew Washington 'Bud' Gary b. 17 Feb 1852 and his 2nd wife Martha J. Kinsey. Earl Thurman Gary Sr married first on 5 Dec 1911 in Panola Co TX, Mary Willis. Married 2nd Mary Lee Houston (they divorced around 1949). Married third Bennie Pruder b. May 21, 1912 d. Jan 19 1988 .

With 2nd wife Mary Lee Houston he had six children. He was a preacher for the Pentecostal Church and a farmer. His six children:
