Jessie Leola Pate Brasington could perform minor Faith Healing Miracles. I know some people won't believe in Faith Healing, but I was personally healed of childhood thrush, and she talked the fire out of several childhood burns.

She worked hard her whole life, raising her family and in Springs Mill until she retired. I remember her sewing, quilting and canning. And she grew a garden.

Some other things I remember about her are chicken and dumplings and peach cobbler with cream on Sunday afternoons. I remember she watched several TVs at once (how she kept up with two different story lines all at once is a mystery to me, but she knew exactly what was going on). I remember her telling me about her family when I asked. She went far back and shared a good bit of information, all from memory. I had to take notes and still don't remember everything she said without referring back to them.—Laura Lawless 9/1/2023 and 4/10/2024.
