Callie Cornelia Cobb Russell was born Thursday, March 14, 1907 in Mooresville, Limestone County, Alabama, to Joel Thomas Cobb and Alice Cornelia Schrimsher Cobb.

She married Jessie Conrad Russell on Monday, October 18, 1937.

Funeral for Callie C. Russell, 81, of Route 2 Moulton will be today at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. R. C. Borden officiating.

Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Russell died Thursday at Lawrence County Hospital. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lawrence County.

She is survived by one son, David Barley of St. Augustine Florida; six daughters, Mae Haygood of Decatur and Jean Green, Mildred Hagood, Jeanette Smith, Millie Waldrop and Virginia Jackson, all of Moulton; two brothers Walter Cobb of Decatur and Robert Cobb of Athens; two sisters, Mary Key and Bertha Lecroix, both of Athens; 22 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Green, Charles Reeves, Jim Porter, Bob Lowery, Steve Johnson and Scott Shelton.
