Mr. Metzger was born June 8, 1907, in Clinton County, to Ira and Cora Troxell Metzger. He married Lucille McKinney Alter on February 26, 1961, and she preceded him in death on July 27, 1987.
He is survived by one brother, Glen H. Metzger of Wesley Manor, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort, Indiana.
