Gladys W. Robertson died on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Gladys was born March 30, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Robertson; and her parents, Sherman and Eva White. She is survived by three sisters, Janet C. Hubbard of Chesterfield, Va., Jean Babcock of New York and Joan Adams of Damascus, Va.; her brothers-in-law, Joseph W. Hubbard and Buster Robertson; two sisters-in-law, Louise Throckmorton and Elizabeth Robertson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Her remains rest at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, Amelia Courthouse, Va., where her family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Amelia Courthouse, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Moore's Methodist Cemetery in Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 263, Amelia, Va. 23002, in honor of Gladys Robertson.
