George Washington Sharp Born 13 Nov 1883 Died 24 Aug 1919 Buried 26 Aug 1919, son of Henry Stephens Sharp and Charolotta Auxier. Also buried in this same cemetery are his sisters Margaret "Maggie" (Sharp) Chamness Born 14 Dec 1890 Died 12 Nov 1938 Buried 12 Nov 1938, Effie (Sharp) McCall Born 8 Jan 1882 Died 21 Apr 1908 Buried 21 Apr 1908 and Nancy Ann (Sharp) Stewart Born 15 Jun 1889 Died 24 Jun 1959 Buried 29 Jun 1959. According to cemetery records several of the cemetery plots were owned by Effie (Sharp) McCall's husband John David Harrison McCall.

George Washington Sharp married Stella Belle Parsons
May 17, 1907 in Prosperity, Jasper Co., Missouri.

They had the following children:
Leona Emma (Sharp) Bailey
Evelyn Mary (Sharp) Bennett
Edward Emmett Sharp

After George died Stella remarried. She married Hendrick Klein "Henry" Leugemors, they stayed in the Bartlesville & Dewey area until about 1935 according to the 1940 census. Between 1935-1940 they moved to Miami, Ottawa Co., Oklahoma. Stella's husband Henry operated the Midway Grocery in North Miami. Her daughters; Leona Emma married Basil Atmore Bailey, Evelyn Mary married Willis Marion Bennett, both daughters remained in Bartlesville until Leona took ill health and her daughter placed her in a Nursing Home in Kansas. (I vaguely remember Leona's husband Basil as he passed away about three years after we moved into the neighborhood across the street from them, but I knew Leona for 35 years) Both daughters are buried in Bartlesville at Memorial Park Cemetery. Her son Edward Emmett moved to Miami, OK., with his mother and her husband. Stella her husband Henry and son Edward are all buried in the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery, Miami, Ottawa Co., Oklahoma. I believe Stella may have remarried after Henry died because I am not able to locate her on the Soc Sec Death Index.

George Washington Sharp is my 2nd Great Uncle, his sister Margaret (Sharp) Faucett-Chamness is my 2nd Great Grandmother.
