DAVID ANDERSON 1799-1843

David Anderson was the son of Alexander Anderson 1770-1852 and Martha McCreery Anderson. Both of his parents were born in Ireland then immigrated to the United States.

David's Father, Alexander and Mother, Martha Anderson were the Parents of:

(1) Anna Anderson 1791–1860
(2) David Anderson 1799–1843
(3) Anna M Anderson Jordan 1806–1840
(4) Polly H Anderson 1811–1836
(5) Susanna Anderson 1814–1844
(6) Martha E Anderson 1817–1839

David Anderson married Jane SCOTT 1805-1860? on the 14th of December 1824 at Jackson County, Ohio.

David and Jane Anderson were the Parents of:

(1) Alexander Anderson 1831–1905

In November 1832, David Anderson purchased 80 acres of land in Ohio. On the 8th of June 1833 David Anderson and his Father-in-law Alexander Scott took land in Mercer County, Ohio on the Wabash River where David built the first Grist Mill in the County.

On the 5th of October 1843, David Anderson died at the age of 44 years in Recovery Township, Mercer County, Ohio. In the book, History of Mercer County, Ohio and Representative Citizens, 1907, it states that David Anderson and Alexander Scott, both are now deceased and buried on this farm on the old farm graveyard. That would be the old Scott-Anderson Cemetery which is now defunct.
