LOUKINAS, NANCY ANN REED STACEY - age 71, of Knoxville, went to be with her heavenly father September 12, 2008 at Fort Sanders Hospital as a result of an accident. She was born on January 13, 1937 in Madisonville, Tennessee. Nancy was a graduate of Fulton High School and worked for many years as a custodian at the University of Tennessee before becoming disabled. She volunteered as a foster grandparent and served as a Salvation Army Soldier for more than 43 years, and she loved ringing the bell at Christmas time. Her main goal in life was to put God first and raise and take care of her children. She read her Bible daily and went to church every chance she could. She always had a song to sing and loved her gospel music. Nancy never met a stranger, touched many lives, will be missed, and never forgotten. Nancy was an active member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by husband Paul Loukinas; parents Dewitt and Mary Reed; brother Wilbur (Jr.) Coleman; sister Minnie (Jo) Smith. She is survived by daughter Lisa Stacey; sons and daughters-in-law David and Debbie Stacey, Rick and Phyllis Stacey, Mike and Gaye Stacey; grandchildren (whom she helped raise) Brooke, Kristin, Angel, Little Ricky, Brian, Scottie, Michael, Missy, Ashley, Crystal, Mikey, and Donte; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brother Frank Reed; sister Sarah Overstreet; lifelong friends, Barbara, Linda, Joyce, and Lucille; best friend Georgie; and many others too numerous to list. Special thanks to Dr. Salter and nurses Claudia and Rose for caring for our wonderful mother and your kindness and patience with us. Thanks to all for the support and prayers. We thank you dearly for each and everything you did! Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Leonard Gresham officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 p.m. Thursday to travel in procession to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:30 PM on Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel
