Howard McCoy Quesenberry, beloved husband & father, departed this life for his eternal home on Wednesday, August 13th, 2008.
He was born December 17, 1931 in McComas, West Virginia to the late James K Quesenberry & Lizzie Belle Quesenberry.
Howard was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. It was his trust and faith in the Lord that sustained him throughout his life. He was loved - and will be remembered most - for the difference he made in the lives of his family and friends. Howard proudly served his country in the US Marines and retired from GTE in 1987.
He is survived by the love of his life Jackie Crace Quesenberry, his brothers, Ronald (Hallie) Quesenberry & David (Carolyn) Quesenberry, his children Sheila (Jerry) Michael, Jeff (Susan) Quesenberry, Pamela (Tony Purvis) George, Kris (Roger) Young. He is also survived by Glenna (Mike) Hamburg, Betty (Alan) Andradi, Richard (Debbie) Davis, sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, as well as many special nieces, nephews & their families.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert L Quesenberry, Charles Quesenberry & Everett Quesenberry; three sisters, Stella Hall, Ruby Niswander and Edna L Shinault.
The family extends their thanks and eternal gratitude to all that cared for Howard during his stay at Emerald Ridge Care Center in Asheville.
Funeral Services to honor Howard's life were held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church with the Revs. Rodney Quesenberry and Frank Hopkins officiating. Burial was at West Memorial Park in Weaverville, NC.
The family received friends at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville, NC.
Memorials may be made to the Woodland Hills Church, 50 Woodland Hills Rd, Asheville, NC 28804.
