Sgt. Moses B. Pritchett, son of Joseph Samuel Pritchett and Elizabeth Ann Daniel, enlisted in the Brunswick Blues June 3, 1861. The company became Company I, 20th Virginia Infantry and still later 3rd Company B, 59th Virginia Infantry. On August 16, 1864, Moses was promoted to Sgt. He was captured at the Battle of Saylers Creek on April 6, 1865. Moses married Mary Ann Kennedy, daughter of David Baker Kennedy and Margaret Ann Walker on September 11, 1867. Moses died of consumption February 21, 1890.
