SMITHFIELD - Catherine Richardson Moore, 73, died, died Friday, April 19, in Riverside Convalescent Center. Mrs. Moore, a retired school teacher, taught at Isle of Wight Academy from 1967 to 1980. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a graduate of Emory and Henry College. Mrs. Moore was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Austin Atwood Moore Sr.; two daughters, Lunda C. M. Coffey of Newport News and Julia A. M. Martin of Fulton, Mo.; three sons, Austin A. Moore Jr. of Virginia Beach, Michael L. Moore of Smithfield and Linwood R. Moore of Centerville, Iowa; two sisters, Grace R. Pulley of Smithfield and Pearl R. Kinsey of Suffolk; a brother, Dr. George S. Richardson of Pittsburgh; and 12 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Colonial Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Park. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 2794, Norfolk 23501.
