MRS. DOWNS DIES AT 78
Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Downs, 78, died Monday, March 10 at LaFollette Community Hospital. She was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors are: one daughter, Mrs. Massie Hamilton of Clinton, Route 2, with whom she made her home; son, John Woodrow Downs of Jellico; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 12 at the Indiana Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Goins and the Rev. George Williams officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Martin's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
