Bobbie Jean Turner-Combs

Bobbie was born on September 12, 1938 in Texarkana, Miller County, Arkansas to Renzie and Velma Turner. She was the second of seven children. She grew up in a rural region of Texarkana known as Genoa. She lived on a farm as a child. She attended Genoa Central Schools.

After college, she met and married the love of her life on June 14, 1961. She was a loving mother of two children, a son and a daughter.

She was a Christian and attended church at Immanuel Baptist Church. She loved children so much that began working in the Nursery at the church and was loved by all the children and their parents.

In her spare time, she loved the outdoors. She loved camping and gardening especially planting flowers in her yard and sharing them with others. Her favorite was Day Lilies. I think she had one of each kind.

Bobbie was an avid bird watcher, she was often seen walking around with her binoculars looking for the springtime birds arriving. Her favorite was the Painted Bunting. She would often take long walks in the country because she enjoyed being in nature.

Bobbie will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson, one sister, and one brother.
