Dwayne Paul King, age 52, of Myrtle Beach passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at Conway Medical Center of COVID-19 with family near.


Dwayne was born in Greensboro, NC to Paul King and the late Fannie King Beard (Lunsford).


Dwayne was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie King Beard (Lunsford), his grandparents James Fred King and Luettie Maggie King and Mildred and Grandpa Lunsford, his Uncle James King, and his Aunts, Linda, Thelma Ann, and Gloria Lunsford.


Dwayne is survived by his wife Priestess Kandi Ranson (AKA "Sonja M. Ranson"), his Step-children Trashelle Ann Minster (Price) and her wife Monica Minster, Heather Lynn Paukov (Price) and her husband Denis Paukov and Roy David Price, Jr. along with his Step-Grandchildren Jasmine Nichole Russo, Nadejda Paukov, Vladimir Paukov, Dmitri Paukov and Stefan Paukov.


Also survived by his father Paul King and Stepmother Lucy King, his sister Carroll and her husband Dwayne Brooks, his brother Brian King and Brian's fiance Jessi Whitt. Along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends.


In 1988 the day Dwayne graduated from Southwestern Randolph High School in Asheboro, NC he moved to his parent's vacation trailer in Myrtle Beach, SC, and never looked back.


Dwayne loved horror movies so much that his wife owned and operated Kluckin Films motion picture production studio. Using his skills as a cinematographer, editor, and makeup artist "Kill Syndrome" and "The Bleeding (2008)" was created and released worldwide. These are his 2 most famous films. Both of which were filmed on the Grand Strand where he lived. He helped to open the door and pave the way for other independent, low-budget, filmmakers in the area to explore their passions.


In 2004 Dwayne won the Rob Zombie short horror film award for his short film "Piggy"; which he shot on a Hi8 Camcorder and edited with a Sony Play Station and two VCRs.


At X-Con. 2010 Kluckin Films, Kandi Ranson and Jasmine Russo won several awards for "The Bleeding (2008)" and "Blood Beach"


"Crack Kills' by Kluckin Films is a P.S.A. short film to bring awareness to the dangers of the use of Crack Cocaine. "Crack Kills" has been downloaded, copied, and distributed for use as an educational tool in drug rehabilitation centers worldwide. It can be viewed on YouTube for free.


In 2010 Dwayne was ordained by the Church of Spiritual Humanism and officiated or Co-Officiated many weddings and handfastings.


At a young age Dwayne Studied Live Sound Recording Engineering at Cherry Grove Sound School. He is famously known as the best Sound Engineer on the Grand Strand of South Carolina. Because of this he and his wife owned and operated dB King Sound Productions.


Dwayne spent many years on the road working with various artists like White Zombie, 3 Doors Down, Up Spook Hill, David Allen Coe, Willie Nelson, Neil Diamond, Queensryche, Staind, Disturbed, Nickel Back, Kansas, Tesla, Type O Negative, Alanis Morrisette, Rush, Vagrant Justice, Jackyl, Clarence Carter, George Clinton, Ziggy Marley, Wu-Tang Clan, Yes, Marylin Manson, Kings X, Strike-o-Matic, Sqwearl, Fluid, Green Day, Fire House, Quiet Riot, L.A.
