Roger G. Major, 76 of Omaha, NE passed away on January 19, 2018 at Bellevue Medical Center. Roger was born in Smith Center, KS to Glen and Theresa (Hayes) Major.

Roger was married on August 27, 1961 to his high school sweetheart, Betty Auldridge for 54 years.

Roger graduated from Beloit High School in 1959 and then received his Bachelors Degree from Fort Hays State College in Kansas in 1964.

Roger started his career in Retail Management with F.W. Woolworth in 1964 for 42 years. He worked for another 10 years with Alco/Duckwall before he retired in 2005. Roger accepted many promotions during his career, relocating to 28 different cities among 10 states. Roger was a very kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. In his youth he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Roger was preceded into death by his wife, Betty, son Jeffrey, parents Glen Major and Theresa (Hayes) Major-Kozak, sister Connie German (and husband Gary), brother Ted Major.

Survivors include Betty and Rogers daughters: Lisa (Pete) Culjat of Omaha, NE; Lorie (Ken) Brock of Omaha, NE; Linda (Mark) Creek of Longmont, CO; Leslie (Andy) Kraus of Lincoln, NE; and their grandchildren: Garrett Kraus, Ryan Brock, Madison Kraus, Keri Brock, Zane Culjat, Jackson Kraus, Samantha Culjat, and Emily Creek. Rogers brother Ron (Janet) Major of Garden City, KS; sister Barbara (Bob) Bergmann of Jetmore, KS; sister Sue (Paul) Garman of Lima, Ohio; sister-in-law Betty (Ted) Major of Hutchinson, KS as well as many nieces and nephew, cousins and friends.

Roger will be cremated and buried with his wife Betty in Beloit, KS.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in late spring in Beloit, Kansas. Announcement will be posted in the Beloit and Salina, KS Newspapers.
