Robert "Bob" Hayes, 53 of Lebanon, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by those he loved. Bob was born to the late Harry and Betty Hayes on January 22, 1970 in Nashville, TN.
Bob was a Nashville native who graduated from Overton High School. Bob worked at Williams Printing Company for 15 years, where he met the love of his life Kimberley Barlow. They married in January 17, 1998 in Nashville, Tennessee. Bob decided to change profession and join the La Vergne Police Department where he worked for 18 years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Bob enjoyed being a police officer, he loved running traffic and traffic stops with his wonder twin Eric Staats. Outside of work Bob like to go fishing, mowing, feeding cows, and playing with his puppies: Charlie, Coco and Crue. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, along with YouTube videos. He liked to go see Edwin McCain live and enjoyed listening to his music. Bob enjoyed life and making others laugh. He will be dearly missed by all the lives he touched.
Bob is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kimberley Hayes; daughter, Maddie Hayes; sons, Jeffery Monfort and Eddie Monfort; sister, Tanya Rivera; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Hayes; and sister, Cindy Cooper.
A gathering of family & friends for Bob will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Following will be a graveside service Woodlawn Memorial Park with Erick Staats, Eddie Monfort , Jeffery Monfort, Jeremy Cooper, Kevin Cooper and Kyle Cooper serving as pallbearers.
