Joyce (Sellers) Crowe, aged 83 of Stockbridge passed away Friday, May 5th, 2017. Ms. Crowe was born June 11, 1933 at Erlanger Hospital, in Chattanooga, TN to CWO2 Philip Alan (Newman) Sellers of Grovetown, GA, and Mildred Lucille (Hubbs-Carr) Sellers of Chattanooga, TN while Mr. Sellers was stationed at Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Rymon Charles "R.C." Crowe originally of Buford, GA; two children, Emily (Dulong) (John) Roudebush and Kimberly (Crowe) Avant and her partner Phillip; four grandchildren, David and Christopher Avant; Christopher and Nicholas Roudebush: one great-granddaughter, Audrina; three sisters, Mary Ann (Donald) Lanois of Suwanee, GA; Nancy (John) Seifert; and Gloria (Floyd) Epps both of Colorado Springs, CO; and a brother, Phillip Alan Sellers of Palmdale, CA

Joyce graduated from Colorado Springs High School (Colorado Springs, CO-When Mr. Sellers was stationed at Ft. Carson) in 1951. Joyce played French horn and was a drum majorette in school. She competed in several beauty contests winning Queen of the Mardi Gras, 1949; Miss Colorado Springs 1953; Queen of the Jaycees Jr. Chamber Commerce Convention, 1954, runner up to Miss Colorado in the Miss Universe pageant. She modeled for the Alexander Film Company in Colorado Springs 1952-55; and was featured on the October 4, 1954 cover of Sports Illustrated Magazine.

She moved to Hollywood, 1956, attended acting classes, joined the Screen Actors' Guild, and appeared on the George Goebel, Jimmy Durante, and Charle Farrell shows. She was pictured with Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. Joyce appeared briefly in minor parts in the 1960 Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward movie, "From the Terrace", and the 1960 film "College Confidential", with Mamie Van Dorn, Conway Twitty, and Steve Allen

Joyce modeled for the Hampton agency including Saks 5th Ave in New York City in the late 50's. Joyce married Enrique E. Dulong in 1958 in Los Angeles.

In the mid-1960's, Joyce moved to Marietta, GA where she met Mr. Crowe who was a builder in the area, and subsequently, moved to Henry County 30 years ago.

She enjoyed classical music and films, oil painting and pencil drawing. Joyce was loved and admired by her family for her generosity and loving care of her younger siblings.

Services were held at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home and Chapel in Stockbridge, GA on May 8.
