Visitation is 5-8 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster, and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until services there at 10 a.m. The Rev. Sammy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery in Gloster.
Mr. Williams was born Dec. 14, 1901, in Amite County. He was the son of Luther Williams and Judy Dunaway Williams. He was retired from the U.S. Forrest Service. He was also a farmer and a cattleman.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Lee Mathis Williams; three brothers, Luther and Harold Williams and Iverson Ewell; and one sister, Annie Delee.
Survivors include one son, Charles Williams of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Doris Snider of Gloster and Inez Kinabrew of Bogalusa, La.; one brother, W. M. Ewell of Centreville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
