Betty Swafford Smith, 83, wife of the late Harold D. Smith, of Walhalla, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
A native of Tamassee, SC, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Dewey and Sophie Rogers Swafford. She retired as a seamstress and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son: Stanley Smith of Walhalla; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her brothers: Ray Swafford and Julian Swafford; and sister: Carnis Burrell. Mrs. Smith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
