Mrs. Velmer Jane McLemore Daniel, 96, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 28, 1925 in Salisbury, NC, a daughter of the late Gilbert McLemore and Eula Lathan McLemore. Mrs. Daniel was twice married, Albert O. Anderson and Allen Daniel.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Daniel will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. David Nasim officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by two sons, Garnet C." Bubba" Anderson (Lisa J) and Donald R. Anderson Sr. (Lisa T) all of Lancaster; two sisters, Betty Lou Fowler (Eugene) and Shirley Kaiser all of Lexington, NC; seven grandchildren, Thomas A. Anderson, Megan Anderson, Harley Anderson, Donald R. Anderson, Jr., Jonathan Neil Anderson, Suzette Nasim, and Mary Alice Ballentine; nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Conner, Garrett, Ava, Ariana, Ella, Wells, Don, and Channing. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by a son, Jack Dale Anderson; a daughter Nathalie A. Brown; three brothers, Robert Lewis McLemore, Buck McLemore and Ernest McLemore; and three sisters, Claudia Yonce, Ollie Mae Bowles and Carrie L. Nunn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
