Earl grew up on a farm in Kansas near Peabody. Graduated from high school and taught school for several years. Married Elva Burgat and had three children; Robert, Marilyn, and Carol. Had an automobile shop before the war and then went to Boeing when WWII started. Retired from Boeing and lived out his retirement in Wichita, KS with his wife Elva. When Elva had a stroke in 1984, Earl took especially loving care of her until her death in 1987. He was a very caring and generous father and husband and was loved by all those who knew him. He is greatly missed.
