LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Jack “Jackie” Donald Jordan, age 92, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at MUSC Health- Lancaster Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1928 in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late Claude Thomas Jordan and Mae Vance Bowers Jordan and was the husband of Betty Turner Jordan. Mr. Jordan was the owner and operator of South 200 Flea Market for over 50 years. His joy in life came from his family and helping others. Mr. Jordan was a jokester and loved animals and making people smile. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Mr. Jordan was a Hejaz Shriner and past Mason at Jackson Shrine Club. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Turner Jordan; two sons, Rocky Jordan (Leigh), and Randy Jordan (Denise); a daughter, Rhonda Truesdale (David); seven grandchildren, Lindsey Lowery (Michael), Jayson Jordan (Ashley), Kristen Gerber (Josh), Jimmie Jordan, Jordan Coats (Christopher), Jessica Truesdale, and Jennifer Truesdale; and four great grandchildren, Jaxon Lowery, Lexi Lowery, Kennedy Jordan, and Dawson Jordan.
Mr. Jordan is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Claude “Whacker” Jordan, Jr., and Fred Jordan; and four sisters, Lougenia Gibson, Lucy Hallowell, Juanita Coogler, and Margaret Hinson.
The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Jordan will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist, PO Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721.
