Huey Duane Tewis, 73, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Southeast Hospital.

He was born November 4, 1947 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Huey K. and Irene Norman Tewis.

He and Linda Easterwood were married July 1, 1982 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was a very well respected anesthesiologist at Southeast Hospital for 38 years.

He was an avid golfer, lover of good food, playing the guitar and singing. He was a Cardinals and Saints fan.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles and studying the Bible.

He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Scott (Tina) Tewis and Shane (Tami) Tewis both Tulsa, OK; daughter, Laura (Steve) Kozisek of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Diane Clark of Covington, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Jackson and Grant Kozisek, Vivian, Xander and Kamryn Tewis and Gavin Pardeiro.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be private.
