Ernest Abbott, age 81 of Sevierville, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020.

Ernest served in the United States Navy as well as the United States Army where he was in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Ernest was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife Geri Abbott, son Adam Shawn Abbott (Susan), daughters Margo Abbott and Rachael Abbott, as well as his beloved grandchildren Joanna Rush (Kyle), Mary Abbott Santos (Michael), and Chris Vinson, and precious great-grandchildren Olivia, Travis, Elliott and Alex Santos, Randy and Rhys Rush. In addition, he is survived by his brother Frank Abbott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Charles Abbott, 2204 Dayton Street, Knoxville, TN 37921.

A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Friday, October 30, 2020 at Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church, 2122 Dayton Street, Knoxville, TN 37921. Elder Clyde Abbott will officiate.
