Jamie and her friends were passengers in an Uber because they wisely chose not to drive on the night of her birthday celebration. Tragically, a reckless driver would rear end their car on the expressway, causing it to burst into flames almost immediately. Jamie, trapped in the back seat, could not be rescued from the wreckage.
Jamie is described as petite, punctual, loving, and protective of animals. She enjoyed science and had dreams of being a meterologist or an astronomer. She was thinking of where she would attend college after finishing her general studies at Morton.
Her mother Andrea states "She was a sweetheart and I don't know how I'll ever handle being without her. My whole world fell apart."
