She was the daughter of Francois "Franck" Joseph Marie Lefebvre and Marie Anselme Daumont. She had seven siblings: Marie, Franck, Celina, Anselm, Jeannie, Henri and Ida.
Her father, Franck and four siblings (Marie, Franck, Celina and Anselm) immigrated to Mystic, Iowa in 1911 and sent money to France to collect the rest of the family.

A plaque is placed on each side of the memorial, for both passers by and drivers to be able to read it from the square and from the road.
