Diane H. Uchimura, 81, of Honolulu, former owner of Diane's Sportwear, Inc., died March 18 at Kuakini Medical Center. She was born in Kuristown, Hawaii. She was the first woman president of the Hawaii Garment and Accessory Manufacturers Association. She was also one of the pioneers of the poco muu, the short version of Hawaii's muumuu. She is survived by husband Charles; daughter Lisa; son Mark; brothers Minoru and Joseph Ezaki; sister Emi Tamura, and several grandchildren. Services were private.
