Sophie R. Glace, 91, of Wellsville, York County, passed away Sunday May 19, 2019 in the comfort of her home.
Born February 8, 1928, in Osceola Mills, Clearfield County, she was a daughter of the late John and Sophia (Moleuoski) Pidgeon. Sophie was united in marriage with Cloyd D. Glace, Sr., prior to his passing on June 9, 2001.
Family meant everything to Sophie; and, she took great satisfaction in creating a warm and nurturing home. Her thoughtfulness and consideration will be remembered through her small acts of kindness, generosity and love she provided without fanfare or desire for acknowledgment. A former member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Harrisburg, she was more attending St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.
Sophie is survived by her children, Carol Hinman, and her husband James, of Adams County; Marilyn Glace, and her husband Tom Wacker, of Mechanicsburg; Marsha Ammons, of Maine; Cloyd D. Glace, Jr., and his wife Linda, and, Ken Glace, and his wife Kristine, all of Wellsville; and, Sharon Andrews, and her husband Nathan, of Dillsburg. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her Services and Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Township, will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or at hospiceofcentralpa.org
