Marlys C. Abrahamson, of Mauston Wi, formerly of Fairchild WI passed away at Fairview Nursing Home on Monday July 9, 2018.
She was born in Eau Claire WI to the late Martin and Clara (Evenson) Brynterson. She was united in marriage to the late Alvin “Abe” Abrahamson on Nov 4, 1950 in Fairchild. Alvin and Marlys moved to Elroy WI In 1954 and moved to Mauston in 1978.
Marlys was a homemaker and a volunteer. She volunteered as a Cub Scout Den Mother and is the mother of 2 Eagle Scouts. She volunteered for the Hess Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and St. Vincent’s. She had great love for her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed her time with her three cats.
Marlys is survived by her children Alan Sr. (Margaret) of Mauston, Kenneth (Helen) of Belen, New Mexico, Wayne (Vivian) of Cantonment, Florida, and Marla (Robert) Cummings of Stevens Point. Grandchildren Alan Jr. of Mauston, Amanda (Tony) Tiedtke of Mauston, Heather Abrahamson of Florida and Britney Abrahamson of Texas, Jeremy Hayes and Bradley (Wendy) Cummings of Stevens Point. Great Grandchildren Jordan Tiedtke of Necedah, Michael Abrahamson of Florida, and Hayden Hayes and Oryian Cummings of Stevens Point. Brother Marvin (Connie) Brynterson of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister Carole Brynterson and in-laws Roy and Dora Abrahamson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 28, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fairchild, WI where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.
Interment will be at the Fairchild Cemetery after the service, with a lunch to follow.
