I got Dottie when I lived in Austin, Texas. She had been left at the humane society because her owner got transferred. She had several owners before I got her.
She was a registered German Shepherd with a great big long name , but she was just Dottie Girl to me. In 1966 She had 10 beautiful puppies and she was a great mom. Jubal Morrison was father to the puppies. He was owned by Lucille Morrison who was a great friend.

I had another little dog named Tinker Bell and the two of them got along fine as long as Tinker didn't growl at my son.

My husband took a job in Pittsburgh, Pa. so he could go to school at the University of Pittsburgh. We had to leave Texas and move to Pennsylvania.

When we got ready to move to Pennsylvania, he would not let me bring Dottie. So she remained in Texas with a friend who knew and loved her too. It broke my heart to leave her, but I had no choice.

Dottie died in Texas and I do not know the exact date, but I believe it was on the 30th of Nov. in 1968. She will always have a memorial here with me. This is where she should have been all along and this is where her spirit sleeps along with her collar.
She was a great dog and was devoted to me. I love and miss her, but I know she is safe with God.

She was a First Class Dog!
