ROY GLENN BASS, age 59, of Crandall, Georgia, departed this life, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from injuries sustained from an accident at his place of employment in Chattsworth, Georgia. Mr. Bass was born on December 22, 1958 to Betty Sue Champion Bass and the late Charles Edward Bass in Pikeville, Tenn. He was a Christian. Mr. Bass was raised in Franklin County, Tenn. and was a member of the Franklin County High School class of 1977. When he was a boy he was a Eagle Scout and received the Order of the Arrow. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran and served on the U.S.S. Santa Barbara ship. He was employed for approximately 40 years as a Electronics Master Electrician and was last employed by Mohawk, Industries in Chattsworth, Georgia. Mr. Bass was also a 3rd Degree Mason. He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Nascar racing and did racing himself on dirt tracks. Mr. Bass was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and brother. He will always be remembered for helping people that was his greatest goal in life.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Bass. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bass of Crandall, Georgia, daughter, Jessica Amanda Bass also of Crandall, Georgia, mother, Sue Bass of Decherd, brothers; Roger Bass of Winchester and Ron Bass of Chattsworth, Georgia. Several nieces and one nephew.

Visitation for Mr. Bass will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. CST on Friday evening, March 23, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. CST on Saturday, March 24, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Tom Stocks and Bro. David Peeler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee with Military Honors bestowed.
