STRONG - Marguerite Rose Tabachini, 89, of 214 Front Street, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mount Carmel.

She was born in Atlas, June 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Grohowski) Latorre and was a lifelong resident of the area.

In 1946, she graduated from Mount Carmel Township High School and continued her education at Bloomsburg University and then Empire Beauty School, Pottsville, earning her degree as a beautician.

On June 17, 1950, in the former St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel, she married the love of her life, Robert J. Tabachini, who survives.

Marguerite worked as a beautician for several years, but her greatest joy in life was raising her children with her husband by her side. She loved spending time with her family.

She was a member of Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel, formerly St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert John Tabachini Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Manchester; three daughters, Deborah A. Keating and her husband, Scott, of Stroudsburg, Susan Kramer and her husband, Francis, of Harrisburg, and Marguerite A. Kuzo and her husband, Kenneth, of Maryland; four granddaughters, Melissa Lightner, Candice Ricker and her husband, Mike, Allison Kramer, and Abigail Tabachini; two great granddaughters, Emma Lightner and Kathryn Ricker; one great grandson, Michael Ricker; one sister, Ramona Diaz, of Illinois; one brother, Raymond Latorre and his wife Ellie, of Elysburg; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosealie Ross, Helen Tinelli, Martina Alexander and Isabelle Scaran, and a brother, Joseph Latorre.

TABACHINI - Marguerite Rose Tabachini, 89, of 214 Front Street, Strong. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Avenue, Mount Carmel with Rev. Martin O. Moran III, officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. Viewing will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by C. J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C. J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
