Todd A. Mountford February 3, 1966 - November 6, 2017 York Todd Alan Mountford, 51, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous 5 ½ year battle with brain cancer. Todd and his wife, Andrea L. (Hamme) Mountford celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in October. Mr. Mountford was born in York, on Thursday, February 3, 1966, son of Thomas S. and Joan E. (Pepo) Mountford of Dover.

Todd was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of York High, Class of 1984. He was a member of the high school band and played baseball. He received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Penn State University, graduating in 1989. He loved Penn State football, ice cream, just like his grandfather, the beach/bay, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed movies, fantasy sports, watching his daughter play soccer, basketball, volleyball, throw discus, javelin, and shot put in track and field. He always had a soft spot for all animals, especially his beloved cats. Todd had a wonderful sense of humor, and his favorite band was Rush. Mr. Mountford was employed as a copy editor for The Pocono Record, Harrisburg Patriot, and The York Newspaper Co.

Todd was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and uncle. In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include paternal grandmother, Gladys E. Mountford, Manchester; daughter, Nicole A. Mountford, York; a sister, Michele L. Braisted, MD; two nieces, Ashlynn Braisted and Nadia Kessler; five nephews, Alex Braisted, Nathan, Dakota, Caden, and Lincoln Kessler; in-laws, Dale and Nancy Hamme; sister and brother in-law, Michelle and Scott Kessler; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George F. and D. Betty Pepo; and paternal grandfather, Thomas W. Mountford.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Rd., York. There will be a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private.
