Georgina F. (Mansfield) Murphy of Canton passed away June 24th at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife for 62 years of the late Paul C. Murphy Sr.
Mother of Jane M. Murphy of Norton, Paul C. Murphy, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Canton, Michael J. Murphy of Canton, Peter J. Murphy and his wife Paula of Norton, William P. Murphy and his wife Michelle of Canton, Sheila A. Czyrklis and her husband Edward of Norton and Eileen A. Murphy of Randolph.
Sister of Marie Kelley of Jamaica Plain, Joan McCarren of Braintree and the late John, David, Joseph, William and Eileen Mansfield.
11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Georgina was raised in Jamaica Plain, and graduated from Roslindale High School. She went on to serve in the Navy WAVES during WW II. She worked as a Clerk for the Registry of Motor Vehicles in Boston for many years.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary in Canton, and was an avid Red Sox Fan and enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles.
