Deborah was a beautiful soul. Debbie was the beloved daughter of John L. and Nancy Matlock and the beloved sister of Ashley Matlock Perkinson. Debbie was very talented and among one of her many talents was writing. A few days after her untimely death her sister Ashley found this poem among Debbie's things. The poem is entitled Heaven and it reads:
Heaven is a symphony
each life an individual note
eternally sounding itself
eternally, fluidly, flowingly advancing
without one the symphony would be incomplete
without one the symphony would end in black silence
no longer circular, no longer forever
Heaven is a symphony
