Wanda Faye Henderson, 74, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Baptist Health of Lexington.

She was born in Pineville on September 15, 1942, a daughter of Bessie Madon Henderson and the late Drew Henderson. She was a member of the Eagle's Rock Missionary Baptist Church and had worked in the Bell County Circuit Court Clerk's office for many years.

Wanda devoted her life unselfishly to the care and love of her Mother. Together the two of them shared a special bond, unbroken by her parting. The love the two of them shared was immeasurable and the void left by her passing is great.

Wanda's faith in God was shown throughout her life by her love of the Church and service to others. She gave freely of her time and resources to family and friends. Her love touched the hearts of many.

Wanda loved to travel and interact with people. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, sharing stories, food and games and good times. This was especially true at Christmas time. Her way of telling jokes would have us all laughing long before the punch line. Her absence will be heartfelt.

Wanda loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Their successes and accomplishments were her reward for her love, support and encouragement.

Although her journey here on Earth has ended, Wanda lives on in each of us. She has touched our lives in such a way that the bond we formed and shared is intertwined throughout our daily lives. We love, cherish and honor her. Even though our hearts are broken by her parting, her spirit lives on in Christ and her memory is forever embedded in our hearts and minds. God Bless!

Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Huddleston. Burial will be in Fuson Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Henderson Family.
