Wayne was born in Church Hill and had lived in Kingsport the majority of his life, he retired from the Kingsport Press in 1999 with 38 years of service. He was a long time member of the New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church and loved his church and church family, he was a great husband, father and brother, loved mustangs, UT football, fishing and was the oldest of five children.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Julius Peter Bombailey and Esther Housewright Bombailey, brother; Jay Bombailey, step grandson; Jacob Halverson, mother and father-in-law’s; Haskell & Sara Ellen Craddock, brother-in-law’s; George Rhine and Paul Craddock.
Calling hours are from 12 to 1:30 pm Friday at the New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1116 Nelms Lane, Kingsport, TN 37665, and anytime at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 pm at the church with Rev. Richard Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Hill Memory Gardens.
