Jessie Jewel Barbour Adkins, 75, of Blairs, passed away on September 29, 2016 at Piney Forest Health Center in Danville. She was born on September 29, 1941, in Pittsylvania County, the daughter of Moses Samuel Barbour and Jessie Lee Rigney Barbour. She was married to the late Otie "Frog" Adkins.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Emmett Barbour, Randle Barbour and Ray Barbour; two sisters, Jean B. George and Joyce Barbour; half-sister, Mary George.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Adkins Family Cemetery on Anderson Mill Rd., October 1, 2016.
