Frank Ole Macomber, 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Born on December 4, 1950 in Moose Lake, MN, he was a son of the late Richard and Gladys (Haugen) Macomber.

After graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Crane Operator for six years during Vietnam. Frank retired from General Motors after 45 years of service and was also a member of the Church of God, Fort Wayne.

A kind, generous, and good-hearted man, he cared deeply for his family, grandchildren, and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Chad) Troye of Fort Wayne; sons, Frank (Stacy) Macomber Jr. of North Vernon, Ind., and William (Robin) Howard of Elkton, MD; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ann (Bob) Schwantje of Alta Loma, CA and Judy Ball of Henderson, KY. He was also preceded in death by his son, Todd Howard; brothers, Rodney Huisenga, Dickie Macomber, and Marvin Macomber; and brother-in-law, Mel Ball.

Memorial service will be 11:00am on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Church of God, 427 Third Street., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior, Pastor Truman Smith officiating. Preferred memorials may be made to the Church of God, 427 Third Street, Fort Wayne.
