Maurice E. Pepo of Hanover RD3 died at 3:53 p.m. Nov. 12 at Memorial Hospital. He was 76.
Mr. Pepo retired in 1985 from Columbia Gas of York, where he was employed 30 years.
He served in the European theater of operations in the U.S. Army during W.W. II . He was a member of Pleasureville American Legion Post 799.
He was a member of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Spring Grove. He was also a member of Jefferson Area Chapter No.3699 American Association of Retired Persons and Friendship Hose Co. in Spring Grove, and he played electric bass for the Shi-Lites Band for 11 years.
Born in Dover Township, Dec. 19, 1922, he was a son of the late Maurice C. and Hester M. Boyer Pepo.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Minerva J. Ritter Pepo, whom he married on Jan. 16, 1943.
He also leaves two daughters, Maureen A. Flickinger and Peggy E. Pepo, both of Hanover RD3;
two grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; a sister, Charlotte N.Fero; and a brother, Paul Pepo.
Burial is in Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
