Billy Gillispie, 31, of Tornado, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 5, 2006, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after his lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He was an employee of Thomas Memorial Hospital, where he was a tech in the O.R. Billy was a Lieutenant and a member of the Tornado Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years and also a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge No. 58 A.F. & A.M., St. Albans. He attended Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Hurricane. He was a lifelong resident of Tornado. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Earl Gillispie. Surviving: parents, Butch "Bill" and Geraldine Rae Gillispie of Tornado; stepchildren by marriage, Logan Midkiff and Joshua Gillispie of Tornado; sister, Susan Rae Gillispie Cantrell of Tornado; brother, William Terry Gillispie of Tornado; paternal grandmother, Wilma Mae Gillispie Fooce; nephews, Michael William Atkins, Adam Gene Cantrell and Ricky Joe Cantrell.
