Dorothy L. Clouse, age 82 of Monroe, went home to be with The Lord at 5:10 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 in her home with her family at her side.
Friends may visit from 3 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday. Rev. James Williams, Pastor of Flat Rock Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born November 23, 1931 in Speedwell, Tennessee, she was the daughter of William and Pearlie (Brooks) Racey. She married George Sears in Speedwell. After his passing in 1956, Dorothy later married Everett Clouse on April 29, 1957 in Angola, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1980.
Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, always busy crocheting, quilting, gardening or canning.
She is survived by: four children; Phyllis (Randy) Hale of Monroe, Vina Sears of Springhill, Florida, Jack (Michelle) Clouse of Monroe, and Keith (Deborah) Clouse of Newport; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husbands, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Racey.
